Meet Sarah Brown

I’m passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and families find hope, healing, and resilience through compassionate, trauma-informed counseling.

Who I Help?

I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families navigating life’s challenges, including:

  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Substance Use and Recovery
  • Family and Relationship Concerns
  • Life Transitions
  • Military Members and Spouses
  • Survivors of Exploitation and Abuse
My story

Since beginning my career in 2009, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging seasons. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, supporting adolescents, adults, and families facing trauma, addiction, emotional distress, and significant life transitions. Those experiences have continually reinforced my belief that every person’s story deserves to be met with compassion, curiosity, and hope.

Much of my professional journey has focused on serving individuals who have experienced complex trauma, including survivors of exploitation and abuse, youth involved in the juvenile justice system, and those navigating substance use and recovery. These experiences have shaped my commitment to creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel emotionally safe, respected, and empowered to heal at their own pace.

I believe that meaningful change happens within the context of a trusting relationship. My role is not to tell you who you should be, but to walk alongside you as you gain insight, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. Whether you’re working through anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to provide a space where you can be fully yourself without fear of judgment.

Today, through Rocky Shores Counseling & Consulting, I’m honored to support adolescents, adults, and families while continuing to educate professionals and organizations on trauma-informed care. It is a privilege to witness resilience every day, and I would be honored to be part of your journey toward healing and growth.

First step

Taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
